Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year! I love the season it is in, I love the activities involved and I especially love to dress up as a cute or spooky character, depending on my preference that given year.. I have dressed as mimes, angels, witches, scarecrows, clowns, witty sarcasm, you name it, I have probably in my lifetime become it at Halloween time. This year I am super excited to be able to do makeup looks with the Younique cosmetics because there are so many colors to choose from with the Moodstruck Mineral Pigments, Lip and Eye liners, Blushes, Concealers and Lipglosses... AND with everything being non-toxic and in no way harmful to my face at all, I am even more ecstatic!! The eye pigments are 100% natural, chemical-free, mineral-based pigment powders, free of talc, oils, preservatives, perfumes, synthetic dyes, and parabens. That means NO breaking out afterwards for me, and no face-staining!!! YAY!!! I have been playing around the past few days trying to get the feel of how to do my looks with the products and am so excited to keep playing until I find a look that I want to really do for Halloween this year. Here are a few that I have done so far. Watch for them!!
The Scarecrow was pretty easy to do and with very little products... Of course with all my looks I always use the Glorious eye and face primer, I also used as a base, BB Flawless and the Mineral Touch Powder Foundation. Believe it or not, I used the Lucrative lipgloss in Luxe on my cheeks with a bit of Giddy mineral pigment on top and a smidge of the pigment color Curious to create the highlight in the cheek circles. The nose was created with the Moodstruck pigment color Giddy wet with The Refreshed Rosewater. and the color Corrupted wet for the lines. Same with the eyes and the lines near the mouth. My lips I did the same as the cheeks. And That is it!! It was easy, fun and quick! And I think it looks really cute! If I do have to say so myself! ;) Next, I did a cat!! *Meow!
For my Younique leopard look, I have wrote the colors out on the photo. The only Moodstruck Mineral Eye Pigment that I used wet with the Refreshed rosewater was the color Corrupted! Everything else was applied dry and patted on not brushed. Hope you like my looks so far. I can't wait to do more. It is addicting seeing what I can do with the colors! Thanks for looking, and stay tuned... I'm off to do more looks today!!
Have a great day!!

Did another Halloween look.. This one was really fun to do too... Moodstruck mineral pigment colors I used was Flirty, Regal and Corrupted.
Playing around with my Younique Moodstruck mineral eye pigments today and here is another Halloween makeup look that I did. Inspired by the Corpse Bride. All makeup used was only Younique Cosmetics.
Colors used are as follows. Precocious, Heavenly, Naive, Corrupted, Primal, Luscious, and Pristine...
Another Halloween makeup look!! The POPArt makeup sytle look by Barb Hunter using all Younique products. I think I am really getting the hang of this fun playing with makeup thing and getting paid for it part time at home from my vanity and computer!!! EEEK! Who knew I would love it this much!!!!
Here's what I have been up to!!
I've been busy learning to do more Halloween makeup looks. I have been using only Younique products from YouniquebyBarb. That can be a little bit of a challenge because Younique was not designed with the Sci-fi artistry in mind lol. But I succeeded in some very cool Spooky and fun looks! Take a look:
It's a Friday the 13th inspired look!! Jason Voorhees mask using Younique Cosmetics.
It's a Friday the 13th inspired look!! Jason Voorhees mask using Younique Cosmetics.
Another horror movie inspired look that I done was Nightmare on Elm Street and Freddy Krueger! Turned out great using the blushers for burns.
The Freddy Krueger look inspired me to also do A Burned Barbie! Too bad I forgot to put on the 3D Fiberlash Mascara! LOL
My nephew is being Spiderman for Trick or treating at the local Zoo tomorrow. So I thought, well let me see if I can do a Spider Man mask! This Halloween makeup look is NOT all Younique. The Younique product in the Spider-man face mask I created was (of course Brilliant moisturizer, Refreshed Rosewater, our Glorious Primer, BB Flawless in Bisque and Mineral Touch Foundation in Velour as my base) But then I used Corrupted Moodstruck Mineral Pigment wet for all the black in the entire look. I used Scandalous Moodstruck Blush as the eye color with the Corrupted, The lipliner in Primal, Lucrative lipgloss in Luscious and then of course the 3D Fibers on the lashes! The red and white in this look was just a kiddy Halloween makeup pack from Walmart! I really like the outcome but those creams were really hard to do! I liked playing in the loose powders from Younique better.. They blend soooo nicely!
Playing around with the Younique mineral pigments.. Any look can be created with them. I love how easy they blend. Here I created a skull face in white and black and then added green over the top to change the look completely.. The I created the Purge look with a little contouring and highlighting. With the brushes and pigments for color. The lips were done with the Pristine Lipliner. These are so fun to do! I enjoy my makeup playtime very much! Thanks for looking.
